My niece just graduated from high school

Spent last weekend in travel mode. Flew my big bad self up to Massachusetts to watch Rachel get her diploma from Westboro High. Took 70 pictures or so, but I doubt I'll post them to the Web. It'd be a lot easier for me to share them with my family by mailing CDs of all the photo files to them.

Highlights of the trip:
  • hanging out at Rachel's workplace (Westboro House of Pizza) on Friday night and getting a free spinach calzone
  • eating at IHOP the next day and pondering the consequences of flirting with the pretty young lady sitting near us
  • missing most of Rachel's graduation ceremony because Cheryl and I got redirected into an overflow room instead of the main gymnasium
  • catching up on the surprising developments in Rachel's life, like her pierced bellybutton and her excellent cussword euphemisms ("f-bomb")
  • flying back to Lexington and discovering that Valerie has moved out of my house but has not moved her cats out
