usually nothing good in the paper about TV

This-or-That Tuesday for May 6

06 May 2003

1. TV or radio?
TV has much better commercials

2. On the radio: talk or music station?
Music channels help me find MP3s to download

3. Actual books or books-on-tape (or e-books)?
Dead-tree books don't keep draining power after they bore you to sleep

4. Actual newspaper, or web version?
Dead-tree newspapers are hella easy to skim

5. Wall Street Journal or National Enquirer?
Does the Enquirer review wines? I doubt it. I choose WSJ

6. TV news...news channel such as CNN, or your local broadcast news?
Neither. Both are overflowing with idiotic and irrelevant stuff

7. A movie you've been looking forward to seeing gets bad reviews all around. See it anyway, or pass?
I will see it regardless, but I won't spend any money on it

8. See movies when they first come out, or wait a few weeks for the lines at the theater to get shorter?
If I'm gonna sneak into a movie, I'll see it on opening night (May 15). If I'm gonna pay to see it, I'll wait a few weeks so there are fewer cell phones and crying babies in the auditorium

9. TV: cable, satellite dish, or just plain old antenna?
Digital cable

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: If you had to choose only one form of media to come into your home, which would you choose...print (newspapers, magazines) or electronic (TV, internet)? Why?
Thought-provoking? Takes no time at all to decide on electronic. There's no limit to the entertainment and information you get on the Internet, and if you're throwing in TV, well, that's a bonus!
